Patience is a Virtue

This world is so impatient! If we have to stand in line for anything more than a few minutes we are chompin at the bit. If the car in front of us is going just a couple miles per hour slower than we would like to go we are ready to run them off the road. We have cell phones and laptops because we cannot wait until we get home to talk to people about nothing in particular. Why are we in such a hurry all the time? Why not slow down and enjoy life a little more? Anger is a common product of impatience, and being angry all the time is not an enjoyable way to live your life. Patience is a virtue, but it is one that is becoming lost in our society.

Hollow Man

This is a poem I wrote some time ago and a friend recently read it and really liked it so I figured I would share it with whoever might stumble upon this site.

A shadowy existence
An outline of a man
Supported by his feet
Although he cannot stand
He raises up his voice
Although he cannot hear
He's so full of pain
But can't shed a tear
Then all at once
He feels God is near
Time to change his life
And it starts this year

Ah what the heck, here is another one.

Alone with his thoughts
In a dark lit room
What do they mean
They leave him so soon
If only he could capture one
And scream it out loud
Would if fall under the feet
Of a wandering crowd
Would they hear his voice
Or just pass him by
Alone in their thoughts
Until the day they die

Anyway, not sure they are any good but let me know what you think.

Oh Man Casey

So the other day I am doing some aimless wandering around the web (first chance I have had in some time) and what do I stumble upon but a new blog by Casey. I speed read through some of the latest posts and comments and to be honest I do not think this was a smart move on Casey's part. I hope it works to his advantage but come on Casey, you know the "haterz" are not going to be impressed with your turn around at this point. Casey has a good thing going right now with this new job and I would hate to hear that the opportunity was stripped from him by some faceless text on a message board. I tried to make a comment and it appears you have to be a "member" in order to do so, which is good, but we all know the negativity will gather in other .com's that will be more or less connected with this new venture. Anyway I just wanted to get my two cents out there since I couldn't make a comment on Casey's blog.

P.S. Casey - It is already becoming about you rather than what it should be which is a promotion site for Angel's company.
