Number One Sponsor
Hey hey I am the number one sponsor on Island2012. When Casey decided to abandon the banner "million dollar home page" idea and went back to the 1-100 sponsor bracket I figured... what the heck it is only a dollar a month. That is what, 1,200 dollars in a lifetime; a very long lifetime at that. Realistically my dollar a month is going to do virtually nothing to help buy an island, but hey, I will still have rights to it if it really does materialize. Besides all of that I am inevitably connected to the community through comments on the blog and the fact that I actually know Casey in real life. So I pay a minuscule "sponsorship" fee, and I get some extra traffic on my personal blog (which I actually didn't even really think about until I saw my link up on Island2012). Now I just have to get motivated to once again post on a semi regular basis.

You should put up some Google ads. At a dollar a month, you might make more than that in advertising
So who won the battle of wills over the Paypal account?
CH,
just randomly walking your blog. is there a post on your back tat? Any thoughts on firearms ownership? Do you think laws like the one described here (warning, plea uses Cecelia as an emotional hook) http://www.articlesbase.com/criminal-articles/the-murder-of-cecilia-riveria-812862.html
he appears to have a PP tip jar, so I would imagine that he got a PP account
Serinitis - I already have google ads up but thanks for the advice... it is very posible that I will make more than a dollar a month. Good investment? We will see.
Lawnmower man - I have won this round... we will see if it ever goes to round two... haha
Anonymous - I appreciate the comment. Very good subjects, but not ones that I want to address in another comment. Within the next few days I will have a post up about my tattoo and another about gun law and the Cecelia case. Again thanks, and I hope you check back to see my responses.
James, since you didn't post my other comment, I'll ask again in a simpler, more polite fashion:
What exactly does Casey Serin bring to your friendship...? Or is your friendship nowadays continued mostly out of tradition (you've known him for years) and because you feel sorry for him?
Anonymous - It is hard to say why we are friends, as it would be for any of my friends. I could easily say that we have some things in common, like a love for the outdoors (a slight hippie mentality). I could say that it's because we have know eachother for so long. I could rattle off many reasons as to why we are friends. What I want to do instead is leave you with a modified quote and say "ask not what your freinds can do for you, but what you can do for your friends."
...and we already know that you know the answer...convince him to get a job!
Now that the island2012 blog is down and your sponsor link is gone, are you going to demand your dollar back?
I actually hadn't even made a payment yet.
