Everything is a Choice

There is always a choice involved in everything you do. To be honest what drove me to post this is the whole controversy over the statements made on the Rob Arnie and Dawn show. For those that are not familiar with the show they recently got into some trouble when discussing trans gender people. I am not defending them, I don't even know what specifically they said that got them in the trouble they are in. What I did hear and what sparked this entry was a caller that said "they don't have a choice." What I am doing is saying that there is always a choice. I have gay friends and I love them the same as anyone else, and have even talked with one close gay friend about this very subject. I will use myself as an example. I am straight. I choose to date and pursue female companionship. I could however make a choice to be gay. It would not feel right to me and I know that is exactly how many gay people feel about choosing to be straight but the point is that it is a choice. There is very little in life that we cannot make a choice about. Even genetic things which we are born with we can choose to change. We can dye our hair, we can take growth hormone to be taller, and we can have sex changes to become a different sex. It is a choice, that's the bottom line.

What is Casey?

James, completely agree with you. We create our own reality and saying "I was born that way" is a lame excuse for not taking control over your life.

Hey James, still thinking about that idea we had about doing a van road trip this summer. However, instead of a road trip I may have to focus on staying in one place for a while first and getting the online income upto speed. Then we can do something like that. The idea of "Into The Wild" - doing odd jobs as we go - is not really my style. Though it would be fun to try new and learn from new experiences, I want to produce income online. It's much more flexible and enables a truly location-independent life! My phone is disconnected right now so email me instead.

Also, how are things with your girlfriend and your new job?

Casey certainly does create his own reality.

Casey-
New job is going great. It is challenging but I enjoy it. The girlfriend is an ex girlfriend now, we didn't really match up.
